today we are talking about season one episode 15 blinders

What is up everybody? Thank you so much for coming in and joining us this week as we discuss

like I said in the open episode 15 of season one blinders. This episode was written by Bridget Carpenter who also wrote

crossing the line earlier in the season and was directed by Stephen Kaye who did

its different for girls. So two returning riders. Bridget also had help from Carter Harris and I believe the

rest of the writer's room, but those are the names that are on this one covers a lot of ground.

We're going to talk about some stuff

later in the episode that, you know, we are not, I don't know, necessarily fully equipped to understand.

We are three white people discussing racism, which is obviously part of the problem, which is also what makes this,

you know, situation, this episode being written by white people automatically the

experience is tainted because we cannot possibly begin to

understand what any of those experiences would be like for ourselves. This is not a

storyline where that just gets wrapped up. This is not something that you know gets fixed.

It's not a it's not a contained issue. There's more of this coming up on this show and I think you know it's

important to acknowledge that and I'm also excited you know by now at least the fact that

there are shows that are written by people of color and there are shows that you know it's like things like you know Abbott Elementary and like you know Queens and and the summary turned pretty Jenny Han like you know these are

shows that I think we're starting to it's still a problem but we're starting to move

in the right direction of actually having people who can comment on these

experiences who understand that so people who

understand that.
