Life is full of trials. God does not promise us a problem-free life,

but he does promise us to work everything out for our good if we love him.

God allows us to go through difficult times because they make us depend more upon him.

So when things aren't going our way, trust the Lord. He is good all the time and he will

ultimately work things out better than we can even imagine.

Now here's Joyce with today's teaching.

Blessed in the mess. Well, Bishop Jake said it this morning,

no matter where you live, no matter who you are, where you came from, everybody has trouble.

It's just part of life. And Jesus said that we would have it.

John 1633, Father, we thank you for the word, believe it's going to tear the devil to shreds tonight, and prepare people for

the future you have for them. Jesus, I've told you these things so that in me you might have perfect peace and confidence.

In the world, you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration.

Tribulation, trials, distress, frustration.

But be of good cheer.

Cheer!

For I have overcome the world, now let's pretend like we believe this, I have

deprived it of the power to harm you and I have conquered it for you. Now that doesn't mean

that you'll never have any trouble but what it means is you'll always overcome it.

Come on, if you've got a problem in your life right now,

a month from now, you probably won't have it.
