Welcome to our daily Roliary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

The fifth beatitude,

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. To understand

mercy we must first grasp justice. Justice is giving to others what we owe them. Mercy is very different.

Mercy goes past strict justice. Mercy gives to others more than we owe them.

Think of the parable of the unforgiving servant.

Remember, he was the guy who owed the king an astronomical amount he could never pay back. But the king in his mercy forgave him. But then that guy

went out and wouldn't forgive his fellow servant a trifling amount. And do you remember what the king said to the

unforgiving servant? You wicked servant, I canceled all that dead of years when you appealed to me.

Were you not bound then to have pity on your fellow servant just as I had mercy on you, and in his anger the master handed him

over to the torturers till he should pay all his debt. Then Jesus ends the story and then Jesus states,

and that is how my Heavenly Father will deal with you unless you each forgive your brother from your heart.

Our Father who art in heaven,

hallow would be your name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us to stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead

us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, free for a sinner is known at the hour of our death,

Amen.
