This is how also I kind of got into journalism was the San Antonio Express News was the newspaper in San Antonio.

And every week they had a poster of one of the members of that team.

And so every week we would get the San Antonio Express News.

So I got all the posters that year.

And we post and I posted them all up in my room. And that really begins my love affair

with newspapers. It's the start of summer vacation and a dynasty. It's Memorial Day

So important was this team to you as a kid around the turn of the century?

Oh, man.

No, so like some backstory.

So I was born, so i was born in

nineteen ninety guess where i get my middle name my middle name is michael you know i was a

bulls fanatic the first words i ever said were the bulls apete but when we moved so we

moved around a lot when i was a kid. I was born in Chicago.

We moved to Florida, Wisconsin, Northern California.

Then we wound up for a little bit in San Antonio, Texas.

And this was around the time, if you remember, there was the Michael Jordan had retired the year before.
