We're talking to writer and director Jamie Nash, who's made a bunch of really fun horror

movies as part of an ongoing collaboration with the team behind one of the most foundational horror movies of the 90s, if not all time, the

Blair Witch Project.

Jamie is out with a scripted podcast called Black Velvet Fairies, featuring the voice

talents from his films Lovely Molly and Exists, a gnarly little big-foot movie directed

by Edward O'Sanchez, that seemed like an excellent

trial run for the agonies and ecstasy of producing an audio-driven narrative.

Jamie joined us to talk about his background, his new show, and the incredibly spooky shit

that went down in the Maryland woods during the making of Lovely Molly.

So I got started the way all good harm movie guys get started. I was a computer programmer for the most part.

That's how I started.

I always loved movies and I always loved horror movies.

I came up in the 80s.

That was my time.

So you know, you can imagine what the 80s were like.

It was a lot of Michael Myers, a lot of Freddie Krueger.

But for me in particular, I was a big fan of Sam Raimi,

the Evil Dead movies, Peter Jackson's,
