My friend Jason and I love to explore abandoned and forgotten buildings,

and usually things always run smoothly.

Any paranormal experiences are easy to dismiss, such as temperature drops, bangs, and doors opening and closing, etc. These places are ancient, and all the windows are smashed, so there's

always drafts, but this is one instance I still cannot wrap my

brain around, or figure out for the life of me. We went to explore an abandoned mental asylum,

and the layout was pretty simple. There were five floors and a basement, and the top floors are

built exactly the same. There's a main room when you first enter with the nurses

stations. To the left and right are long hallways with doors to the patient's rooms. At the end

of these hallways are smaller stairwells to the other floors, and straight ahead are double

doors to a common living area. It's important to note that the first floor was built differently,

so it would be

easily recognizable, and this is the floor that we entered on during that day, around noon.
