First time I heard Black Pumeless, I was blown away.

The guitar player and producer, Adrian Casada, has a production style that's uniquely his

own.

It sounds both modern and retro.

And Eric Burton's voice is so powerful and so full, it's hard to believe you've never

heard him before.

The band seems like they came out of nowhere and everywhere, all at once.

The runway to success was short for Black Pumeless.

Five months after releasing their debut album in 2019, Dostin-based band was nominated

for Best New Artist at the Grammys.

And now one year later, Black Pumeless is up for even more Grammys, including the

album of the year for the deluxe version of their debut.

Adrian and Eric met at a crossroads in both of their careers.

Adrian left his first band after a successful run, including a year's long mentorship

with Prince.
