She is a storied and interesting career and I have loaded weird questions. So we're going to just get right at it.

Normally like when I have a book author on here,

the first question I always ask is what's your book about?

But you don't have a book right now to plug or anything like that?

No.

So sort of as a deviation from that if your biographer were going to try to

summarize what you write about how do you think they would do it in a way that

wouldn't cause you to be upset I don't I don't want to hear what your worst enemy would describe you as.

Right. I think that I sort of write in a way that gets under the skin of liberals a bit because my positions are sort of

of mildly conservative most of the time, but I know how to write in the style and with the set of references and at times the kind of

panash of the new journalism that you know I grew up on as a child you know we got

all the magazines and I just I didn didn't even, you know, I don't think anybody knew that

Tom Wolf was calling it yet the new journalism. I had no perspective. I couldn't compare it to what came

before, but I still know, oh oh I knew there's something new here I knew it and then I found myself sort of drifting a bit from a doctrinaire
