Summary

This episode was made to demonstrate the importance of listening to a voice that has been suppressed for far too long. We hope that through our open conversation we can encourage open ears, minds, and hearts, and ultimately work toward achieving a long-lost sense of empathy. Only through empathy will we achieve true cultural change and reach a deeper understanding of the daily suffering, discrimination, and socioeconomic disadvantage the black community faces daily. We wanted to bring on one of our best friends, Deon Hinton, to help teach us all how we can come together and make a change. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

the best that we can to understand and the best that we can to really open our minds into learn.

1:36.6

Yeah. To set any ego aside that may have been instilled in us from a young age without us realizing.

1:46.0

Now is the time and I've realized that all of that needs to go and now is the time that

us as white people need to be educated. To learn and to understand what Black people in our country

2:03.6

and our world are dealing with and going through every single day. So with that being said,

2:13.4

this podcast for us is going to be more about listening than speaking because we really

2:23.5

right now understand the value of learning. Learning is a thing that is going to make the change.

2:30.0

A big piece of it. The will to listen is going to be the thing that will help us all take a step

2:39.3

in the right direction for this world, for everybody in this world. I realize that I care about people

2:49.7

so much and that the best thing I can do is listen to them. It is so important for us to speak up

2:56.4

but in order for us to know what to say, what is going to be effective and what is going to make

3:01.2

this change, we have to listen first or simultaneously. We need to be educated. And first off,
