It sounds better in French, but then again, what doesn't?

I used to know a guy named Norbert, who had literally memorized a page of the Paris City

Directory, minus the telephone numbers, and used to whisper it as sweet nothings into the

ear of every lady that would let him get close enough.

He used to think that he was pretty slick, and he liked it when guys would kid him about it

and call him Frenchy.

But there was always something that he didn't seem to get.

If a lady is going to let you get close enough to whisper in her ear, you're already doing

quite well.

You don't need a gimmick.

You just need to not have chronic halitosis and not say anything stupid.

In fact, if you can keep the whispers sounding sweet while saying as little as possible,

like possibly by talking pointless gibberish in a romance language.

I seem to have strayed from the subject of my original thesis and accidentally proved

Frenchy Norbert to be a master of the hidden art of love, which is a terrible result, even by my

standards. I'm going to start over. The name's Justice.
