They say that every dog will have his day,

and I suppose that's true enough.

What they fail to stress is that there are always consequences.

Always something more to be considered.

When it comes right down to it, when Rovers' Day finally rolls around, if anyone bothered to tell him what the price might be,

he'd probably just let it slide. That's what most folks do, I guess. It's the cause of endless frustration,

of sleepless nights filled with loss and longing and regret and at least

a couple of thousand of the million stories in the naked city.

They're sad little stories and they're all sung to the same tune, a melancholy little ditty

called If Only.

But for those dogs who insist on seizing the day, there are pieces to be picked up afterwards.

Sometimes it's something

they can handle themselves. Other times, well, not so much. This hears the story of one of those
