black writers in Hollywood find there's no such thing as post-racial.

We talk to two working black TV writers who aren't.

But first on the Hollywood news banter, advertisers play hardball. It's the business from

KCRW. You can imagine Hollywood, everything is really driven by making money. What's with him?

I'm afraid he's gone to Hollywood. I'm joined in the studio by the business producer Matt

Hi, Matt. What's up?

According to the Los Angeles Times, advertisers want TV broadcasters to cut prices as much as 15% compared with 2008.

When normally sales would be well underway by now for ads on programs in the fall schedule,

the big advertisers are not buying and they are demanding a cut.

So that could be a very significant blow to the network.

So the question really isn't whether they'll buy or not, because they've still got to use

broadcast TV, but how much they're going to be willing to pay for it.

Absolutely.

And there's going to be, you know, quite an effect.
