Hello and welcome to The Week Junior Show. We've got another fun pack

episode for you this week. We're going to be learning all about Black History Month,

talking about some very musical birds, and in our big debate we'll be discussing

whether spiders deserve a bit more love. So to tell us all about these stories and a bit more,

we're joined by two of the team from The Week Junior magazine. We've got associate editor Laura

and writer Joe. So before we start the show, it's time for our question of the week and later on

we'll be finding out about how cockatoo's use sticks to play the drums. Yeah, you heard that right.

So I want to know, can you play an instrument? And what instrument would you love to play if you could?

I guess I'll go first. I'll get the ball rolling. I can play the ukulele,

the cello, which I learned at school, to like grade five, grade six standard,

and the didgeridoo. I do have a didgeridoo. I'm not the best at it, but I can get a noise out of it.

I'd say the cello was probably my best instrument, but I haven't played it for a little while.

Laura, can you beat me in the musical realm? Can anybody? That's amazing. Did you once try to play

the didgeridoo? And I couldn't get a single sound out of it. And I think I nearly fainted,

because I have effort. But anyway, well, so I know, is the short answer, the long answer,

is that I went to a very musical primary school. Our head teacher was very into music.

And so he had us all playing the recorder. And what I remember the most is the the Glockenspiel

and the Metallophone and Xylophone and all those instruments that you ding with a stick.
