office and I was reading one of the Philadelphia papers. And they had a story about a black hero

because it's Black History Month. They have different stories about black heroes. And I just want to

read you a story about Sergeant Henry Johnson.

And I'm just going to read this verbatim from one of the Philadelphia papers.

Sergeant Henry Johnson was a member of the renowned Harlem Hellfighters

and all black National Guard unit from New York that served in Europe during World War I. This, of course,

was a time of segregation and great bigotry in the armed forces. Black soldiers like Johnson

were originally sent to reinforce the depleted French army by doing menial tasks. But France
