Hello and welcome to episode zero of the black entrepreneur blueprint.

I am your host, Jay Jones, and I want to thank you, number one, for listening to our initial

podcast, and this initial podcast is just going to give us a little overview of what you can

expect at the black entrepreneur blueprint.

First, let me tell you a little bit about myself.

My name is Jay Jones.

I am a serial entrepreneur that left corporate America over 20 years ago.

When I got out of college, I actually was a financial consultant for Dean Whitter-Rennels

and also Merrill Lynch.

Subsequent to that, I've started over 11 different businesses.

Some were successful, some were not.

Currently, I own a media company and a marketing company.

Prior to that, I owned a mortgage company, very successful mortgage company for 12 years.

I did trade shows and expos. I promoted

those throughout the country. I've also owned a security system company and many others in

between. One of the things that I just want to get through to my audience, which is entrepreneurs

and prospective entrepreneurs is what we're trying to accomplish

with this podcast. And what we really want to accomplish is actually to provide education

and motivation to not just start businesses, but to launch, build, and grow successful

businesses.

And what I've learned throughout my time is that experience is a better teacher than theory.

Everything that we're going to talk about on the black entrepreneur blueprint is based on my experience and the experience of others that I'm going to be interviewing.
