Black Diamonds is back. This is Bob Kendrick, president of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City.

What a time to delve into the history of black baseball in the United States.

The reigning World Series champions? They're led by just the third black manager to take home a title in Major League history, Dusty Baker.

And you better believe you're going to hear from Dusty in this season of Black Diamonds. How about the reigning National League Rookie of the Year?

That's Michael Harris of the Braves,

channeling the spirit of the 1950 National League Rookie of the Year,

Sam the Jet Jethro, a former Negro League star

with the Cleveland Buckeyes. And you know you're going to hear the story of the Jet, too.

And of course, if you haven't heard, yours truly is somewhere I never thought I'd be this season.

In a video game, MLB, the show is featuring the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and the storylines

of the greatest Negro League stars of all time.

So you might, your kids might, just be seeing a whole lot more of Bob this year in your

living room.

stories to life on Black Diners, the triumphs of the Negro League, the forgotten stars, the men

who changed the game forever, the men and women who made history in the United States and beyond.

You'll hear the stories of Sam Jethro, Smokey Joe Williams, Josh Gibson, and of course

Jackie Robinson, and so many more.

We'll sit down with the stars of today to talk about how the icons of the Negro

leagues paved their way a century ago.
