So I just want to say something that I know you are from Queens originally.

Right.

But I know you're old enough to remember the philosopher rapper from the Bronx carous one.

Of course.

And he had songs, sound of the police.

What?

That's the sound that I want to use.

Where he goes, you know, overseas, overseas, overseas, overseas, overseas.

Right.

Like there's a direct link between the overseas or whether they're black or white in today's

modern policing and black cop.

Right.

Where he basically, you know, talks about the police and black police in particular as an

extension of the kind of oppressive white supremacist kind of system.

And you hear black cop and sound of the police and that sentiment that resonates in our

communities.

How does that sit with you?

Actually, I understand the perception and it's just frustrating at times because you

would like the community to know that not all cops are bad, but I understand the history

and the experience of the black community.

And so I don't take it personal.
