Hello, I'm Chloe Tilly on the BBC World Service and this is BBC OS Conversations Black America

Speaks.

As protests continue in the US and across the world after the killing of George Floyd, we'll

be tuning in to four black-owned radio stations across America to hear

what issues are being discussed and how people are responding to a global conversation about systemic racism.

There are these moments in your life,

you know, moments that ask, that beg to know

who are you creating yourself to be?

And for me, this is that moment.

My blood is red like yours.

Our conversations about race in America so far

have included enduring injustices and legacy of slavery.

This time we've been listening in to black-owned radio stations in the US

to hear how they're discussing this moment.

I'm going to play extracts from their shows and as well

as that we brought four of the hosts together in conversation. Jerry Beasley from

KCOH in Houston. Dominique de Prima from KJ L H radio in Los Angeles, Solomon Jones from W-U-R-D in Philadelphia,

and Perry Small from Chicago's W-V-O-N.
