I became friends with F from Taiwan when he came to Japan to study Japanese.

He was educated in the US.

His father was a leading banker in Taiwan.

His older sister was married and living in California, and his older brother, who had returned

to Taiwan at the time, was a lecturer at the Harvard

Business School, so they were a big, elite family.

As for F himself, he returned to Taiwan after graduating from university and started his

own company dealing with publishing rights for things like anime and manga.
