Summary

Bitso is Mexico's first Bitcoin exchange that offers a platform for trading Bitcoin against the Mexican Peso. Bitso.com aims to create some groundwork for a healthy Bitcoin economy in Mexico, by encouraging and enabling the use of Bitcoin as a mechanism for decreasing costs and increasing transaction speed, as well as bringing the unbanked and sizeable population of Mexicans into the banking system.
Since its announcement in April of 2014, Bitso exchange operates as a traditional currency exchange with a central limit order book.
Jose Rodriguez talks to us about how his company is going to help out freelancers find work internationally, as well as cut down on logistics and transaction fees of being paid in their own currency.
Bitso allows people to buy and sell into and out of both bitcoin and ethereum (ether) into fiat. This is just the beginning of cryptocurrency in Mexico.

0:52.3	Yes, of course. BITSS was the first Bitcoin exchange in Mexico.
0:55.0	It started operating in April of 2014.
0:59.0	Since then, we added Ethereum, which would be the second biggest market in crypto.
1:06.0	And going from there, we started doing some financial services and integrations with
1:11.7	other companies and also doing some internal developments according to some
1:16.4	products and services that our customers having asking for
1:20.3	so yeah that's interesting you guys have included Ethereum
1:25.1	very few companies have done that. Everyone seems to be
1:29.4	sticking the Bitcoin only so far. But before we get into that, what's the climate like,
1:35.5	the legal climate in Mexico? How does the government perceive Bitcoin? What are the regulations there?
