Hello friend, I'm Marcy Ferrell from ThankfulHomemaker.com and I'm so glad to be with you today.

I have a bite-size episode today and it's a topic that we are all going to deal with.

It's controversy, so we're on episode 116 and I've titled this one dealing with controversy.

You can read a pretty good portion of this post over at my blog and I'll link all that

in the show notes, so you'll have that information.

But as Christians who live in a world that denies absolute truth, we're going to run into controversy.

And controversy is an area we need to learn to deal with in a God-honoring way when there

are issues inside and outside our churches that need to be addressed.

And many times we can ask ourselves the question, how do we know what needs to be addressed,

right?

So controversy in the church, it's challenging since we know the church is called to unity,

right?

And the gospel is at stake in the church we need to take a stand for truth.

But many times we can find ourselves divided on issues that we shouldn't be, those that

are secondary and not fundamental to the gospel, things like baptism or church order or

end times.

And hence, a lot of times why we have various denominations, right?

But even when we find ourselves divided on issues, they should be able to be discussed
