This is where myself and Professor Damien Hughes, we just take part of a conversation

we've had with someone on a previous episode and we just share it with you.

And I'll just talk for a couple of minutes beforehand about the things that you're going to hear

and the things that maybe you can learn from this conversation. And today, you're going to hear

from Vicki Pattison. And Vicki is known for many things, most famously, I guess, for being a

reality TV star for being on Jordy Shore. And we actually entitled this episode

Listen Without Prejudice because Vicki is in a position where prejudice kind of follows

everywhere she goes. Other people's perception often proceeds the reality. And if you listen

is the reality. You get someone who has been on a journey by her own admission. She's made some

serious mistakes, but she's grown and she's changed and she's a different person now to the

person that made those mistakes. But all too often in this world, I think that we don't give people

credit for that. People particularly now make one mistake, say one thing, share one opinion,

the internet never forgets, it haunts them forever, and we don't believe that people can change or

adapt, but they absolutely can. And I think quite often, you know, people see what they want. And

often that has nothing to do with the truth. And if you listen to this episode with Vicki Pattison,

you will hear the truth. And I had a great quote some time ago, there's two actually that I want

to share with you. The first thing is that other people's opinion of me is none of my business.

That isn't that powerful. I think that's a great quote. You know, if you do my job and you talk
