I know you like fruit cake, but I can't. I refuse to bake a fruit cake. It's disgusting.

Suit yourself. Personally, I think there's nothing more delicious than a dry cake full of dried fruit,

especially when it starts getting crispy.

No one in the world agrees with you.

But, you know, chocolate's good too.

Okay, here's a slice for you and here's a slice for me. Actually, this slice is way bigger, so I'll take that.

Hey, what?

I'm taking the bigger slice because I made it, of course.

But that's not how it works. You get the smallest slice because you made it.

What? After all my hard work in the kitchen making this cake, my reward is that I eat less than you. How is that fair?

Have you ever heard of being a good host? You generously serve big slices to the guests. It's polite.

You know what? There is a fruit cake here, and it's you, your big fruit cake.

Today's short and curly bite size question.

If you make a cake, is it okay to have a bigger slice than everyone else?

We usually think that if something belongs to you, you can do whatever you want with it.

If you make a cake, why shouldn't you have a larger slice?

After all, it's your cake. So long as all the ingredients you use to make it were yours as well,

you're free to eat it, feed it to the birds, throw it straight in the bin, or do whatever you like.

Ah, yeah, this giant slice of cake and me going to be spending a lot of quality time together in my belly.
