I'm a big fan of the original two seasons of Scooby-Doo.

Scooby-Doo, the cartoon, followed the adventures of a group of teenagers in their dog

as they encountered many allegedly paranormal situations and tried to get to the bottom

of them. It almost always turned out that

the mysterious phenomena were being caused by criminals faking the events to

cover up their crimes. When I was growing up I think the three biggest influences on

me from the world of fiction were Sherlock Holmes, Mr Spock, and Vellma Dinkley.

In the original series, Vellma was always the voice of reason and pursued an evidence-based interpretation of whatever mystery the gang was investigating.

I mentioned this because it was with considerable disappointment that I walked through my own living

room to encounter my children, listening to this.

I googled it and found a lot, namely this.

Meberu is a planet listed in the writings of Zakariah Sitchin, particularly his book The Twelve Planet.

According to Sitchin's interpretation of Babylonian religious texts,

a giant planet called Nibiru passes by Earth every 3,600 years and allows its sentient inhabitants

to interact with humanity.

These beings, which Sichin identified with the Anunaki of Sumerian myth would become humanity's first gods.

My favorite internet encyclopedias says there's supposed to be a collision.

The Niberu collision is a disastrous encounter between the Earth and a large planetary object.
