| 0:12.0 | I think the greatest threat is coming from an aggressive secularism. |

| 0:24.6 | religion should be marginalized from public life. Maybe accept it as a private preoccupation like a hobby, |

| 0:42.3 | When I was a bishop out in California, I was auxiliary bishop of L.A. |
| 0:46.3 | And we watched it there, you know, where the health care institutions, educational institutions, |
| 0:52.3 | more and more the state wanted to, you wanted to extricate religion from that. |
| 0:57.0 | And it's happening too, not just institutionally but just ideologically. |
| 1:01.0 | It's getting to people's minds. |
| 1:03.0 | That religion is old superstition, it's anti-scientific, and so let's try to marginalize it. |
| 1:09.0 | I think we have to stand to thwart that kind of aggressive secularism. |
| 1:13.5 | That's where I see in our country the greatest threat to religious liberty. |
| 1:23.6 | You talk about health, we see that people that are fighting disease, for example, if they're |
| 1:31.8 | also fighting loneliness, the mortality rate is as high as 40% higher for those that are fighting |
| 1:37.8 | this alone, or they at least feel alone, real or perceived. |
