Praise the Lord, Saints. Oh wow, amen. We'll say, God, we'll come before your father, God. Father God on this good day. We'll come before you first of all to say things. That's right.

But also brother, brother Sanders here is a real live, bona fide journalist. Well, at my heart though, I was a church kid. And I hear that we're talking church today, so my soul is ready.

I am too. I was raised in the church. What kind of church for you, isn't missionary Baptist? Okay, see, I was at crazy Pentecostal Apostolic.

Oh, okay. Did you have to put some shoes and people's faces sometimes?

We know world in music. No dances, no movies, no jewelry, no makeup. The women could not wear pants only long skirts. Now we couldn't do that either. We couldn't wear pants.

Okay, but yeah, it was like I had to beg to go to high school prom. No, my mom was like, why do you need that? What was the excuse of not being able to go to high school?

It's like the world. Satan's out there prom night and people saw basically dancing of that devil music, making babies, all that. I mean, some of it was devil music. Yeah, but it sounded so good. It's not so good.

That's so true. I mean, okay, so wait. We always ask people, Sam, what is like your relationship with scams? Do you like them? Do you hate them? Do you feel like you were born in one?

I grew up in the church. So I grew up in a space that could easily be scammerific.

Let that work.

But I had to find the portions of belief in religion and church that weren't scammy. And I was lucky. I think like my church was extreme, but like at its core, it was good people doing good things.

There's a lot of church folk that aren't in it for the right reasons. So that is, I mean, church is a scam writ large.

That's one of the wild. I grew up in the part of church that wasn't too scammy. Thank the Lord.

I agree with you there. There's like people who enjoy church doesn't assume you're a scammer. But the institution of church can be scammy.

Can be very scammy as can the Bible because you can read the Bible and be like, oh, it's all about taking care of the others that you love or it could be like, oh, there is a chapter in his name. We could say a lot of doubt of it.

No, no, no, no, no, it's a good person or a bad person and get something from the whole.

Exactly. Exactly. And I was blessed and lucky to have folks who were like in it for the right reasons, even if they were kind of caught out there.
