At my 20-week appointment with my second pregnancy, I asked the question of the provider.

Is it always this hospital's policy that the potosum will be increased by two every half hour?

Is that just how we handle every birth here?

And he said, well, we base it on science.

And the way that that message was delivered, it felt like I don't have a choice because

he knows better about how much potosin I need. And I don't want to discredit the science

entirely. I know that there's a lot of great research out there and that there are well-informed

decisions guiding medical providers in how they deliver care. But I feel like

our world has leaned so much towards wanting to quantify everything and the art and the spiritual

side of creating life sometimes gets lost in the mix because he may be an expert on giving birth, but I'm an

expert in me and my body. Welcome back to the podcast. And today we have a birth story for you guys.

both in these forums and then also the course itself,

how everything is covered from home birth to hospital birth

and all the different options, breastfeeding,
