We've all gone through a lot and some people a lot more than others and you see this in charts too.

But the way I look at it is every bit of our pain is an opportunity for growth, every bit of our pleasure is an opportunity for growth.

And if we stay in a narrative in which we're losers and victims, then that's the life we live.

But the people I've known and I've known people with great adversity who think of everything as a potential gift.

If doesn't happen to us, it happens for us. When they think of it like that, people can make anything out of a pile of crap.

They can make magic out of it, but it's how you see it. Is this my landing pad or is this my launch pad?

And what the way I encourage people and see them is use your story to become everything you want to be instead of staying in the past and regressing to what other people thought of you are acted toward you.
