Hi again, everybody. We welcome you into this edition of Birds Weekly. This is a preview edition as the Philadelphia Eagles. Get ready to hit the road to take on the Vikings in Minnesota.

That man is Ray Dinger. I'm Derek Gunn.

And Ray, this is an Eagles team that has had some extended time off after back-to-back losses,

back-to-back unexpected losses in a lot of ways.

The Vikings are coming off a by week, but this Eagles team has a lot of soul searching to do, both mentally and physically.

And, Ray, what do you think the mood and the atmosphere is like in the Novacare complex this week as they get ready to take on the Vikings?

It's hard for me to read this team right now because they just seem like strangers to me.

I mean, when you consider what you and I thought this season was going to be at the start of it,

talking about how they were the best team in the league and number one in the power rankings

and a team with a really good chance to repeat as Super Bowl champs, all that stuff, what we felt

like, man, that seems like a long time ago. And right now, I'm not sure who this, I'm not sure

who they are. And what I think is really now, I'm not sure who this, I'm not sure who they are.

And what I think is really scary is I'm not sure they know who they are, you know, but this, you know, this is, to me, this has the feel of, and I don't want to be overly dramatic, but to me, this has the feel of a crossroads game.

Where, come on, okay, one loss, the Denver game was frustrating,

but Denver's a pretty good team.

I think we see that.

And I think it has a chance to be a playoff team.

In fact, I think they will be.

So, okay, you blew a two touchdown lead

in the fourth quarter, that's bad, but okay, Denver is pretty good touchdown lead in fourth quarter. That's bad. But, you know, okay, Denver is

pretty good. Then what happened up at the Meadowlands, there's no explaining that, you know,

how you go into that game and basically don't show up against what I still think is a pretty bad
