We are locked and loaded to bring you another edition of Birds Weekly, presented by the

The Denver Broncos are coming to Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday.

And Ray, this is an interesting team. I mean, they're two and two. They've lost both of their

road games to the Colts and the charges by a grand total of four points. But man, they are a competitive

bunch, no doubt about it. Yeah, I mean, there were a lot

of people at the beginning of this season that were picking the Broncos to win the AFC West.

I mean, it's been a long time, long time since anybody even challenged the Chiefs in the West,

much less unseat them. But a lot of people felt that the Broncos

were kind of there right now. After, you know, what people saw, Bo Necks last year as a rookie,

finalist for rookie of the year, the feeling was that, you know, Sean Peyton finally had his

quarterback. And this team was only going to get better. And yeah, I mean, their own two in a row, but they could have easily won both of those games. And, you know, we've been saying it all along, and people have been saying all along, well, the Eagles schedule early, they got those first four games are going to be tough. Well, I thought the fifth, all along, I thought the fifth game was going to be pretty tough, too.

Even though it's here, you know, I don't think the Denver Broncos are any joke.

You know, you mentioned Sean Payton and what a career he's had. You know, he won a Super Bowl down in New Orleans.

He is one of the winning his coaches all time in NFL history. And the Broncos gave up a lot of capital to get him in,

but it appears that they got the right man for the job. It's a slow process, as we all know,

when you're trying to rebuild something that has been non-existent for a while. But he appears to

have this team moving in the right direction. Yeah, I really, definitely, I really, really do think so. And, you know, it's a, it was a strange thing there when, I mean, we went through the better part of a decade when the Denver Broncos were irrelevant. Yeah. I mean, you kind of just, oh, yeah, they're, they're kind of out there and they're going to play, but they're not really going to, you know, we weren't really used to that because the Broncos were one of the best teams in the league for a very long time. And then they just kind of fell off the map. But when they hired Sean Payton, I had the feeling that he was going to get him back on track. He's going to take him a little bit of time to get his kind of team in place, to get his kind of quarterback. And he's done it now. I think that, I mean, there were some questions. Nobody was, a lot of people weren't all that high on Knicks coming out of college. I mean, he was a late first round draft pick. But I thought he was really good. And I really felt like if you put him in the right

place with the right coach, and we know that Sean Payton is very good with quarterbacks,

I thought the kid had a chance to be pretty good. And I think you're seeing it now.
