And especially women in the VC world where you are very underrepresented.

You took a risk on Birchbox, just like you do on every investment.

What was it that told you this would be a smart move?

Actually, Birchbox was our first

investment in our first Angel Fund. So it has a very special place in my heart for lots of reasons.

But, you know, we're consumer-oriented investors. We invest in the evolving landscape of commerce.

In the VC world, women are far too underrepresented. And when you look at

investing in companies and you looked at Birchbox, what was it that told you that this would be a

smart move with your money? As a firm, we have an investment thesis, and it's about the

evolving landscape of commerce. And we think about it in the broadest sense, we invest in both B2C and B2B companies.

And to the extent we're looking at a company that's interfacing with the consumer,

we really focus in on delivering great customer experiences.

We think that that's like the strongest place to compete from and to build loyalty with your consumer, which inevitably
