Well greetings my friends, patriots, lovers of democracy, truth and justice, believers and

peace, freedom and the American way Tom Hartman here with you.

The snow is finally melting here in Portland, which is really cool.

I think we're down to just around 60 or 70,000 people in the state who don't have power, which

is a substantial improvement over a few days ago.

Loss of power here in Portland for basically a full day seems to have scrambled a few things

internet-wise.

My apologies if we've had hiccups and weirdnesses, our streams and with our shows, our podcasts

are put together by a couple of friends of ours down in Texas, and they've had no

power.

So our podcasts have been down.

It's just been a, you know, Mercury's retrograde until next week, it's been a particularly

bad week.

And we've got a good, you know, I mean, you know, Louisiana only lost power for one day,

and heat.

There are people in Texas as a consequence of decades of Texas Republicans adhering to

this idea that government is an evil thing, and you just have to rely on the fossil fuel

industry and the billionaires it makes to make life good as a result of that.

You've got people in Texas who have no heat, have no power.

It's really cold there.

And now as the power is being restored in large parts of Texas, they have no water.
