The Supreme Court ruled that states can finally ban transgendered athletes from women's and girls' sports.

And this is a moment when feminists should be celebrating.

So why are they not?

Because it was conservatives and President Donald Trump that actually pushed the issue.

After years of lawsuits, years of political battles, emotional testimony from female athletes,

and then a national debate that dominated the headlines,

the United States Supreme Court ruled that states can in fact protect girls and women's sports by limiting

female athlete competitions to biological females. And it was a 6-3 decision. The court upheld the

laws from Idaho and West Virginia, concluding they do not violate either Title IX or the Constitution.

Now, for millions of Americans, this isn't simply about politics. This is about fairness.

It's about preserving the very reason women's sports exists in the first place.

And for President Donald Trump, this represents one of the

defining victories of his second term. Female athletes coming out, one of them who played

volleyball at San Jose State, saying this on Fox News Channel about the ruling. I just had to practice

with him. I wasn't even playing against him in a real game.

So at the bare minimum, at least I got to know his tendencies so I could keep myself a little

bit safer. But even then, it's like I'm still getting slammed in at my body. I bruises on my

legs from getting hit with a ball. Like these other teams don't know what they're walking into.

And that's even worse than what I had to go through, going into practice every single day trying to keep myself safe.

But these other student athletes at other institutions going into it, not even knowing what they're walking into.
