Built cash, couponization to the max.

0:26.6

With Built 2.0, Built introduced three new credit cards

0:30.6

and two complicated ways to earn points on housing payments,

0:34.6

and one complicated new rewards currency. That's built cash. And that's

0:40.3

what we're going to be diving into today. First, I do want to mention that while we're recording

0:46.1

this show, we happen to be airing an ad that was pre-recorded about built. It's a little awkward,

0:53.6

but we do not let the fact that we advertise for a

0:56.1

particular company change what we say about that company, and we won't hear. And that's only

1:03.0

for the audio version of the podcast. The YouTube version does not have that built ad.

1:08.4

All right. So let's talk about earning built cash. There are several

1:11.4

different ways to earn built cash. First of all, you earn $50 in built cash for every 25,000 built

1:17.3

points that you earn. And that can be any way you earn them, whether you're earning based on paying

1:22.2

rent or neighborhood merchants, etc. The built 2.0 credit cards each earn 4% in built cash for non-housing

1:30.4

spend. So whatever you spend on those cards for things other than mortgage or rent, you'll earn

1:35.4

4% back, but only if you select the built cash earning option. Remember, there are two different

1:41.9

systems for the new built cards, but if you've selected the

1:45.6

built cash earning option, you'll get 4% that way. And then the built card 2.0 welcome bonuses,

1:51.5

at least at the time that we're recording this, all include some amount of built cash. So the

1:56.6

built blue card includes $100 in built cash upon approval. The obsidian includes $200 in built cash on approval.
