I am going to be in Knoxville for the Tennessee Alabama game next weekend should be a fun weekend in Knox Vegas we are going to do a couple of different events surrounding that so pay attention to my Twitter feed at clay Travis and get ready for that game between Alabama and Tennessee.

All right right off the top here like I said go into bills titan so we will say why you going to the game and it's an interesting question I think it's important to take advantage of opportunities to teach your kids about how to make choices as they become adults and they're all different sorts of people running around like chickens with their heads cut off terrified of the coronavirus.

And I think going to this game tonight and being one of seven or eight thousand people in the stadium is going to be an important lesson for my kids about how you don't allow danger particularly when it's danger that is not likely to impact you as a young person in any way to impact your ability to understand fear.

I want my children to be intellectual lions I don't want them to be intellectual sheep and this country is filled with intellectual sheep I want my boys to do their own research into the facts I want them to make their own decisions and use their own God given faculties to make smart decisions as opposed to following the sheep and the herds of opinions all over the place.

I think even more than now even more so now than when we were younger that's important because social media mobs all coalesce around the same opinions even if those same opinions are wrong which is what's happened with lockdowns and shutdowns in this country in general I've been telling you for months the data is straightforward all schools should be open.

All people should be back at work particularly those under the age of 60 and definitely those under the age of 50 and you can't eliminate fear or danger from your life that is why I'm going to a game this weekend that's why I'm going to go to a game next weekend that's why my kids are in school and that's also why my kids are playing sports because sooner or later you have to look at the facts and make reasonable decisions for you and your family.

And a reasonable decision is to go watch a football game heck a reasonable decision is to be playing a football game so I'm excited to watch Tuesday night football I watched the testimony today for a lot of the day of Amy Coney Barrett.

I don't know how many of you had the Senate Judiciary Committee on television but Amy Coney Barrett and I disagree on many different I think issues in the world today and that's okay.

That's okay we all don't have to agree but I watched her testimony and before that I watched Brett Kavanaugh and before that I watched Gore Sacks and this is what happens when one party wins the Senate and also wins the presidency they get to put their nominees on the Supreme Court and I don't agree with court packing I don't agree with the idea that we change 150 years of precedent because we're upset.

I think as has been said before by other presidents elections have consequences and I thought Amy Coney Barrett did an incredible job responding to the questions that she got in the Senate today I also thought Senate Democrats may have learned by the absurdity of the hearing surrounding Brett Kavanaugh and I thought that the replacement of Ruth Gator Bader Ginsburg was going to be more of a mess than it has been.

I actually was somewhat complimentary of the overall process even though it's a little bit like a kangaroo court and we know exactly what the result is going to be Amy Coney Barrett is going to be confirmed and she's going to be the next Supreme Court justice and I think ultimately Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have to answer the question of whether or not they're in favor of court packing or not because I believe that is a really poor decision regardless of whether you're a Democrat or a Democrat.

Democrat or Republican or independent because it doesn't end once they add to then the Republicans will come back and they'll add to and before long we're talking about having 25 Supreme Court justices and I don't know that that's in any way beneficial to the country in general.

So those would be my thoughts but I actually was encouraged that the fever pitch of the Amy Coney Barrett hearings did not seem anywhere near the fever pitch that we saw from the Brett Kavanaugh hearings.

Now who knows maybe she tried to make out with a boy when she was 15 years old and we're going to have to go back and redo it like we did with Brett Kavanaugh but so far there doesn't appear to be very much to stop her from being put on the Supreme Court and I say that as someone who wouldn't agree probably with a lot of the jurisprudence and decisions that she would ultimately reach but I also think the Donald Trump picked three imminently reasonable people to sit on the Supreme Court and I think she will do a fine job the Braves beat the Dodgers last night the Braves of now won six games in a row.
