Wow. That means that Dave's is going to be in Tennessee then. Yeah. Because that was a job that he was

going to take unless he got the Bill's head coaching job. This is brutal for that is that it's well it's not brutal because if he goes to Tennessee

and does well he'll get another job.

This felt like the easiest next step.

Well, they also hired the guy who replaced the guy who replaced you for when you left.

Right.

So I don't know if they're going internal, wouldn't you think it would be you, even if you're still not technically internal? Yeah. This would be a major disappointment in the Dave's household. I did have Joe Brady getting a head coaching job this offseason. It was, however, with the Tennessee Tigers. You know, I remember when you said that, and I don't know if we had this discussion on air off air, but one of the things I warned, and I don't know if Joe Brady's going to be the next great head coach or not, I have no idea. But sometimes you have someone on your staff that you love, but you have a head coach. And I give you a great example that really rings true today, the Baltimore Ravens with Mike McDonald and John Harbaugh. Yep. I am sure the Ravens never considered firing John Harbaugh. That would have been a tough one, with all the success that they had two years ago. But they had a guy on the staff who maybe the Ravens viewed as, wow, this guy's got a chance to be the next great head coach. So to let him go because he gets a head coaching job and look what he's done in the three years he's been in Seattle.

Now they're in the Super Bowl.

And I am sure there is a small part of Steve Bishotti that says to himself, damn, man, if I would have pulled the trigger on John three years earlier, I could have promoted Mike McDonald and was set.

Right.

We don't know what's going to happen in the post-harball world. And so you wonder slightly if the bills have always loved Joe Brady and we're almost worried, he'll go somewhere else and be great. McDermott will be gone in a year or two because we're never going to get over the cliff. Yeah. And then we'll regret not promoting the guy that we always have. Yeah, maybe because you had an internal option that you really liked.
