0:51.6	some new music from Mitsky, Low Cut Connie, and the late Jimmy Branch.
1:05.8	As I got older, I learned I'm a drinker. Sometimes a drink feels like family.
1:20.8	Family.
1:27.8	That's a little bit of bug like an angel and you track from Mitsky and the new album,
1:31.8	and the land is inhospitable and so are we.
1:36.8	Mitsky Mayawaki, first self-released two albums as a college student in 2012, 2013,
1:44.8	studying music and college of course, and then finally released a third studio
1:48.8	album when she got out of school bearing me at Make Out Creek in 2014. That created quite a bit of buzz.
1:54.8	She got signed by a really hip indie label, Dead Oceans in 2015, and her subsequent
2:00.8	albums have been on that label. Each one accruing in a claim and sales, culminating
2:08.8	with Laurel Hell in 2022. It seemed like we just reviewed that album a few weeks ago.
2:13.8	It was standout last year, and it's shot to the top 10 in several countries.
2:18.8	It came after a bit of a hiatus she had contemplated maybe even giving up music
2:24.8	between the release of her 2018 album and Laurel Hell. We're really glad she did
2:29.8	decide to pursue that musical career. A song in 2022 was nominated for an Oscar,
2:36.8	actually. This is a life from that film, everything everywhere, all at once.
2:40.8	And now she's got a new album, which is unlike, I don't want to play all our cards here,
