Summary

Aron welcomes Bill Vanderheyden from Iron Will Outfitters to the KifaruCast Studio. Bill has been working on some very interesting studies regarding arrows, broached and vane dynamics and pretty much anything that has to do with the science of arrow flight. Working in conjunction with the University of Colorado, Bill has some very interesting findings when it comes to vane profiles and the art of arrow flight. So much so that he may be devoloping his own vane profile. Greta having Bill in the studio to geek out on arrows with Aron.We are proud to partner with some of the best companies in the industry. You've got all kinds of new stuff and you've been doing quite a bit of arrow tests or

0:30.1

I guess vein testing as much as anything. I just you know see things pop up try to follow along what what all do you have going on right now with the testing stuff and product wise as well.

0:39.3

Yeah, I've really taken a deep dive into you know arrow flight with broadheads on the front the last couple years.

The last two years I sponsored projects on improved aerovane design for bow hunting,

1:01.3

you know with broadheads on the front and you know with that we really

1:04.4

dug into a lot of the different things related to flight

1:08.7

We've done I think we have over 2,000 hours of fluid dynamic modeling, you know, through the computer at this point in,

1:16.2

I think over 2,500 arrows shot, you know, out of a shooting machine where we're recording, you know,

1:21.4

speed, sound, accuracy accuracy things like that so yeah it

1:27.6

There's quite a few things you know we've learned over the last couple years I thought it'd be great to get on and

Share some tips for

improving arrow flight for bow hunting. Yeah no that'll be good I am it's get

comical right right now I threw my bow and my I had to go refill the the up today so I would you know throw a gun in a
