A bill is expected to be introduced banning senior federal

officials from stock trading. Josh Holly, a Republican from Missouri, is

expected to introduce that bill. Amazon is closing more Amazon Go stores.

However, the company says they still plan to open more of those stores in the future.

And Tesla is reducing prices. The more expensive Model S and Model X are getting a price cut.

Our top story, as lawmakers debate restrictions to prevent conflicts of interest within the U.S. government,

Senator Josh Hawley is expected to introduce a bill today that would ban senior executive

branch officials the

the Wall Street Journal, the bill would require such officials to divest their stocks

as well as those owned by their spouses

or place them in a blind trust

within six months of starting their job.

The ban would not apply to diversified mutual funds.

Lawmakers in both parties have pushed for restrictions on stock trading by federal officials, but efforts have stalled since last year.

Holly in 2022 introduced a bill to ban lawmakers from trading stocks which did not move forward.

He then reintroduced it earlier this year.

It's called the Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments Act,

or the Pelosi Act.
