Bill and I discuss some of his most intense and funny moments on the job.

We also talk about Facebook and posting on social media in general when you start

voicing your politics and is it worth it especially when at times you can lose

friends and family.

And towards the end we get into a lengthy discussion

about whether or not the media is capable

of being the watchdog they're supposed to be

without crapping all over the police.

Steve, thanks for having me. I was actually humbled when you sent me a message asking if I would come on.

Oh, thank you. No, I, it it's so funny I have so many cops in my life and in the

periphery of my life from the East Coast and West Coast and you know I've been turned

down before so I try to think about like who might want to come on wouldn't be mind being interviewed you know and then I've not done much planning and who I'll ask and then just actually what happened was I saw a Facebook post of yours and it was a good

strong conservative police oriented Facebook post and I go, Bill would be great I wonder

if he would mind doing it so I thought about it and I'm like,
