I don't, I have a riff when anybody asks me,

And my new way of answering it is,

I could answer that question,

but should I answer that question,

I would involve your readers in something approaching gossip,

and I know they'd never forgive me for that.

Speaking as a former gossip columnist, I like that tactic.

I think it puts us in our place quite perfectly.
