Way back in 2011, the Twilight Zone companion author Mark Scott Zickery became the first guest

to be interviewed on the Twilight Zone podcast not a bad get for a young podcast that was still

trying to find its feet then in 2013 I welcomed the wonderful and sailing to the show to talk about her book as I knew him, my dad, Rod Sailing.

And I thought to myself, I've just spoken to Rod Sailing's daughter. How can I top that?

Well, it's not necessarily about topping it, but building upon

it, and build upon it we did. We forged a strong bond with the Rod Serling Memorial Foundation,

and its president, Nick Parisi, has been a regular guest on this show. And whenever there's been a new Twilight Zone book of

note like Steve Rubin's Twilight Zone Encyclopedia or a comic book like David Avalone's Twilight Zone

The Shadow, it's this show that they'd come on to to discuss it. I've spoken to Carl Armari, the creator of Twilight Zone radio, and I spoke to a room

full of Twilight Zone writers at Sailing Fest in 2019 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the show.

And when the television Twilight Zone came back in 2019, it was this podcast that executive producer

Wyn Rosenfeld and the rest of the executive producers chose to come on to to talk about the new show.

And these are only some of the names who have come on to celebrate Rod Sailing's life and

achievements, which isn't a bad guest roster for a podcast about a 60-year-old show, whose cast members

have been sadly becoming fewer and fewer as the years go by. And because of this, I never really thought that I'd ever actually
