We're entering the bizarro world. Bill Maher is defending Donald Trump.

He's been coming out more often saying things that he likes about Donald Trump.

Well, like I said, Mar is a survivalist.

And I think what a guy like Marr recognized is that it's sort of like the Dr. Frankenstein thing,

where it's fun to create the monster

until the monster turns on you. And in the case of Marr, in the first Trump presidency,

he was elevating voices of insane, many insane people and really riling up crazy people

because they were the fierce opposition to Trump.

And he liked that.

The problem was, especially in the COVID world and afterwards, where political correctness

just completely took over, wokeness totally took over, that it's like the Batman thing with,

you know, with Bain, where the, you start

letting the inmates run the asylum and you can't control the monster anymore. And he recognized,

hey, I'm a 60-something white guy who tells politically incorrect jokes. Eventually, they're going to come

for me. Right. And he started trying to, you know, backpedal his way out of it. And so I think you've seen a more measured approach from Mar Trump term too.

He's never going to come out and be a supporter.

But I think he's been more mindful of what he saw happen with these crazy people who he

knows will eventually come for him if he's not careful.
