To me, the whole thing with the finger under between the legs, antiquated.

The whole thing is freaking silly.

You know, I was very fortunate in Cleveland to have the opportunity to have, you know,

to be able to build a complete system, you know, working with, you know,

Michael Mardi on the personnel side and, you know, people like yourself and Schwartsey.

And then on the football side of it, you know, with Coach Saven, Scott O'Brien on special teams,

Kirk Farrant, people like that, and able to put it all together.

And, you know, unfortunately, that didn't completely work out.

But, you know, I felt like by 94 we had, you know, put together a pretty a pretty good football team organization there considering where it was when we started and, you know, we're really without free agency.

So, you know, that's changed the game tremendously.

But, you know, 96 was a big year for me here in New England and developed a great relationship with Mr. Kraft and other

people in the organization. And so when the opportunity came in 2000, even though this team was

nowhere near the team that we left in 96, it had declined quite a bit. There were still some, you know, a few pillars here that we could build with.

And I'd say by 03, even though we won in 01, by 03, that this was a pretty, pretty good football team, you know, in all three phases of the game.

And so it kind of took the same, you know, basic four-year window that it took in Cleveland.

Again, we were fortunate to win in 01, but I would say by 03-04, we had, you know, one of the better teams in the league.

It's crazy.
