and he kind of just sent it over with us like a smirk and just said it's too cold in New York

for me, but it's just kind of funny.

between Jackson and Lane Kiffin.

Lane Kiffin coached the Oakland Raiders nearly 20 years ago.

And it was so long ago, it almost seems like it wasn't real, but he was like the young

kid, Monty's son, and Al Davis,

and he didn't really click, and that was that.

But he's done well for himself at the college level, and he's doing well for himself at Ole Miss.

He's been there since 2020.

You know, the thing about college coaches, and it used to be no college coach would ever entertain any possibility publicly

of taking a college job, or a pro job, excuse me, until they just left. Like when Dennis

Erickson just out of the blue became the head coach in San Francisco after they fired Steve

Mariucci, like nobody knew who that coach was going. And then all of a sudden, nobody even knew Dennis Erickson was in play. Right. Boom, he took the job. That's how it used to be. Nowadays, they're a little more open. But, man, you know, when you've got basically year-round recruiting with the transfer portals, there's this, there's no good time to have your name come up as a potential

NFL head coach. Look at how Steve Carson Sarkeesian reacted a few weeks ago when his name came up

as a potential NFL head coach. It's very disruptive when you're trying to not only recruit

freshmen, but keep the kids on your team, on your team.

Yeah, agreed, right? I mean, one, Lane Kiffins is carved out a niche for himself there in

college football. He's one of the better offensive minds in college football. Old

Miss is really good. I mean, people wonder if he'll go to Florida or take one of these other jobs.
