We start the week on KKHI with a podcast hope that doing a podcast isn't like riding a bicycle.

I know it seems too easy to go after Joe Biden for his tumble on his trike on Saturday.

But there's so much to talk about here surrounding this event that I don't think we could

just dismiss this.

And it does feel like in many places within media, it got brushed over.

It was a Saturday morning story. A lot of your main media outlets

aren't really working full bore. It's a Father's Day weekend. There's other things happening.

And Joe Biden takes a tumble on his bicycle. They say he's not hurt. He doesn't require medical

attention. And that is that. Of course, there's video of it everywhere. We saw the incident take place.

And the takeaway for me on the entire thing is why? I mean, we have video now that is a metaphor

for the United States. A tired old man on a bicycle gets his foot caught in the toe cage on the pedal. Why you would have an 80-year-old man

with a toe pedal is beyond me. He comes close to a stop. His foot gets stuck in it as he reaches

down to try to get his foot out and keep him falling over. He can't get his toe out of the pedal.

Do you know what a toe cage is?

If you haven't seen the video of the thing, your toe gets stuck in it, it keeps your

foot on the pedal.

So while regularly peddling, it doesn't slip off or something weird happen or a more

serious accident take place.

As it gets crowded at the crosswalk, he comes across, There's clearly people there. Some people said they saw his left foot come out and it balanced okay and he couldn't get the right foot out, but he started to fall the wrong way. If he'd have fallen on the left, presumably his left foot would have saved him. The whole thing falls over and it did not look like some soft hit to the ground. I'm sorry. Joe Biden had to be in pain. That had to hurt. And he still has to be sore today.

We wish him well. We don't want to see this happen. I don't wish any ill will toward the man.
