I've got my friend Jason Collette with me today, and we're basically going to be going through,

0:12.7

you know, we're early in the season.

0:14.9

Maybe some of the stuff we say will look silly even a few weeks from now,

0:19.7

but we're going to kind of take a lay of the land,

0:21.9

maybe take a couple of victory laps, but also maybe some draft day regrets, some ones we

0:28.5

wish we could have back, all that kind of fun stuff. But Jason, thanks for joining me, man.

0:32.5

How are you doing? Do it better today, man. It is Jackie Robinson day when we're recording this and, uh, currently watching my raise, uh, not losing, not winning either, but, uh, they're playing better baseball lately instead of throwing the ball all over the infield multiple times a game like they were, uh, earlier this month.

0:50.8

So that's why we don't overreact and think the season's going to be a disaster because things do flip around quickly and all of a sudden they're the first place raised. Yeah, I think I saw a tweet today that like Bobby Witt Jr.'s got one run scored on the season. That's absurd. He's been on base like 28 times too between the walks and I saw that. I was like, that cannot be right. I saw somebody yesterday talking about it. I was like, there's no way that's right. I looked at it. It is. Yeah. I mean, there's just so much season left to go, Jason, obviously. But, you know, we can start overreacting on opening day and we're well past opening day. So

1:28.8

hopefully these aren't too big of overreactions and we're kind of grounded a little bit here.

1:33.5

But let's start it off with a fun one here. Who is a hitter that you will take a mini victory

1:42.9

lap on based on their early performance and draft costs.

1:47.7

Yeah, and by the way, before I talk about mine, I want to let the listeners know, James did his

1:52.5

on Monday night. And so when we get to his, you can be like, oh, yeah, he's, he's just picking

1:56.4

the hottest hand of the night that we're recording. No, he had his answer there Monday night.

2:01.3

So I'm going to tell you mine, mine's Josh Bell. And I had Josh Bell. I believe I ended up

2:07.3

with Josh Bell in six different leagues this winter. Josh Bell is somebody that I was taking

2:11.5

for the acquisition cost, which was nothing. I mean, he was going into reserves for most of

2:17.2

draft season. I think i had to go up into

2:19.5

like the 21st round in one league to get him but you know what the story is with josh bell

2:23.9

air quotes professional hitter he hits the ball he hits the ball hard and he gets traded every

2:29.7

july somewhere so as long as you can deal with him being traded and potentially losing some of his playing time, then it is what it is, but enjoy. And when he made that, when he signed in Minnesota, I absolutely loved it. I kept trying to put him with Pittsburgh in the offseason. I was like, man, this, it'd be a perfect fit homecoming. They, you know, they ended up meeting that. They went Ryan O'Hern, another quote, professional hitter type of situation. But Josh Bell was somebody that I was all over as many places
