But no, happy to talk draft with you guys. It's a blast. I can't get here fast enough. I'm really looking forward to it actually tipping off whenever that does, but I'm really excited to chat with you.

Warren, you're like the new doctor Z. You're a figurative and sometimes a literal consigliary to NFL teams.

And the NFL has like what 20 billion dollars a year in revenue, just countless resources committed to like going through the draft process.

Why did teams still screw this up?

I think the biggest thing is overconfidence. Just belief that they think that they know better. They know what they should be doing.

And a lot of smart people not even related to the draft approach life questioning everything researching everything a little bit harder because they realized their own limitations and what they struggle with doing.

Now one of the things we're going to talk about is actually a counterpoint to that, which is listening to too many people.

So it's not always the right solution, but I do think that teams in general probably they work hard. I'm not suggesting these guys don't work hard and don't try hard and approach this with bad intentions of messing up on purpose.

But sometimes it's just more work needs to go into the process of everything and understand that there's going to be a shit load of variance as well that they can't control.
