My name is Steve. I'm from South Eastern Michigan. I spent my entire life here. I've lived here since I was a

kid. I was born here just outside of Ann Arbor.

At the time of my first experience, an encounter with what I thought was a Sasquatch. I was actually living up in the

U.P. and I was coming back down to visit some of my family and friends that still lived in the lower peninsula for the 4th of July.

We had just got into town the day before and, you know, spent a little time with family and friends.

The next day came and I got together with a buddy of mine. We were both kind of night owls so we figured hey

let's go let's go for a walk or we'll go hang out you know just walk around town

I end up meeting up with him, which he lived just down the street. It's a very, very small town. There's not many people. I was like, hey, you know, I'll be down in

15, 20 minutes. So I went down and met up with him and he was like yeah let's go let's go out for a walk you know it was a perfect night you know at the end of June I think it was either the 29th or the night of the 30th I'm not completely sure and he's like yeah

Let's go for a walk you know so I was like all right and we're thinking about where we're going to go, you know, what we wanted to do.

And he's like, well, my parents just got some brand new mountain bikes.

They got a pair of mountain bikes.

So why don't we take the bikes instead?

We can make up more ground, you know.

And I was like, oh, you know, that sounds good. Let's do that.
