My name is Dan and I saw my first

Sasquatch when I was 12 years old. It was the time that I went to Boy Scout camp the first time.

It was back in 1975 in July.

And I was up in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California

around the Parton Flats area just outside of Big Bear.

We had come up to the camp a day ahead of the rest of the troops because our scout troops through our church and we didn't like to travel on Sundays.

So we have arrived at the camp on a Saturday before everybody else was supposed to arrive all the different troops.

And we found down from the Camp Ranger that the camp staff was out of the park that they had actually went to Big Bear to celebrate the birthday

of one of the staff members.

So the entire Scout camp was completely empty.

We were the only ones in there. So after he showed us where our camp run was, we

began to set up camp and we were out there around the outdoor stove telling stories and laughing and joking like

gay wind do.

And about midnight we heard a howl that came about a quarter mile south of our camp and it

started out like a wolf out but it ended up like a man screaming.
